One Positive One Negative .. I don't know what to think!

I was not ttc right now. Technically I am infertile. It took ICSI with IVF to have my dd due to my pcos and dh's 1% morphology. I just had a cramp that I swear that I only had during only pregnancy. My body remembered it like nothing else. I found some really old tests in the cabinet and figured I was crazy but why not take one. The first one came up instant two lines and really bright. An unmistakeable bfp
I totally freaked out. I somehow managed to ummm "go" a tiny bit more for another test but it is totally negative. Not even the hint of a line. I can't possibly pee again for at least an hour. I am totally freaking out! Finally my question ... does anyone know how long tests last? They are a generic brand to begin with and at least two years old.

I really hope yours was real, but I have to warn you that I got a false positive on an expired FRER test. It was heartbreaking. I would suggest that you go buy one that isn't expired. I'm sorry...

This is why I always pee in a cup rather than on the test!! Keep the important pee for further testing! I would be running out to get some brand new tests and holding my pee and long as could to get it good and concentrated if I were you. Good luck Mama!

if it was an instant dark positive, she shouldnt need to hold her pee to get an accurate result.

though I suggest going with First Response Gold (the digital) as they are very very sensitive AND no denying a YES+

(and remember, infertile only means REALLY really difficult to get pregnant, not impossible!)

Do you know where you are in your cycle? Like when is/was AF due?

I would suggest getting a test to use tomorrow with your first mormning urine. Testing during the day could give you more unsure results, and those suck!

I will keep my toes crossed for you!

and

holding pee doesnt make it concentrated- it's the fact that if you can hold it a really long time, it's going to be concentrated. that's because of the volume being produced, not anything to do with holding it. dont give yourselves uti's, ladies!

I am so touched that you ladies wanted to know. Unfortunately I'm not pregnant. It must have been a bad test. I knew it was a long shot. I have a good friend due in just a couple of days. I think she's giving me baby fever

That is a nasty trick for mother nature to play on you. I'm sorry. I can only imagine that a surprise baby would be a celebration for you.
