Replacing worn aplix?

I have a bunch of bummis super brights pul covers with worn out aplix closures. I'm kind of bummed that they didn't last longer, I only bought them 7 months ago, and I was hoping I could keep them around for the next kiddo. I want to repair them as they are still fitting ds, but I have some questions.

Is there a way to slow down the wearing out process? Or is 7 months a normal time for them to wear out?

Can I get away with only replacing one side of the aplix? It seems like it's maybe just the hooks that are straightening out, the loops don't look that worn.

Where do you buy aplix?

TIA

7 months is pretty typical for aplix, but line drying may buy you a little more time. I have to replace all the aplix on my BG and so for $30 I got a snap pliers and put snaps on. Worked great and then I have used the snap press for bags and clothes that I have made. Definetly worth the cost to me, just be sure (if you go that route) to get the press that does the resin snaps.

If you go with more aplix you could always try just replacing the part that looks bad and if it works great and if not go on to replace it all.
