I had a strong feeling, and the u/s confirmed it. Just wanted to say that it was this forum that helped me learn and decide to never circ! Thank you for being here, and for having no circ in your siggies (because at first I didn't come to this forum specifically), and for spreading the word!

Woohoo!!!
Congrats on your pregnancy and I'm so happy this forum helped you in your decision.
You might want to go ahead and read some of the stickies at the top of the forum that address things like retraction and "issues" just so you're prepared if your Dr. ever tries to retract or diagnose a non-existent problem. Although if you're still in CA, you'll probably have more foreskin friendly doctors there than in other areas of the U.S..

Thanks! I'm excited to have my own little boy, because it seems not many will listen when you yourself don't have a baby boy. I will happily preach it!
And I was just thinking of how VERY cautious we're going to be about ped visits. No one but DH and I ever change diapers (well my mom a handful of times, but she'll just need a quick word of reminder to be safe-- she left my brother intact!) but I do want to ensure no ped messes with the foreskin even a bit! Thanks again!

What wonderful news!
Baby boys are super fabulous yummy....just like girls....but with a slightly different twist.
I am so thrilled that you got the information you needed to be TRULY informed and that you will pass that along to others.
And if you are inclined to post pictures....we all here just love baby pictures!!!

My parents (who only had girls) mentioned to me when DS was days old that I should be pushing back his foreskin to clean under during diaper changes..... just to say that a lot of people who should know better are woefully misinformed about intact care. And despite my vigilance my ped would like to pull on DS's foreskin to see if it retracts yet. I do almost all diaper changes and bathing, but still--be on your guard. Congrats on having a little boy!

Baby boys are great just the way they are made! I found this forum upon becoming pg with DS last year. It really helped me become very educated and a say no to circ mama.
I'm honestly glad DS wasn't my first and that we had a girl, I never thought about circ before until my Dr with DD asked if the baby was a boy and I told her no. She said "well good because I won't do circs". I'm glad she planted the seed, because it made want to know why. Now I understand.
