Anyone familiar with "the angle of the dangle"?

I just had my 12 week sonogram. They say it's too early to tell for sure, so they could only give me a "best guess" at the gender, but if anyone's familiar with "the angle of the dangle", what does it look like to you? (Don't pay any attention to the glare from the camera, just look at the "dangle".)

Best guess- boy or girl?

If I am looking at it right, the "dangle" bit in question looks more like cord insertion.

I'm familiar with it, and actually guessed girl correctly based on the genital tubercle angle of my u/s, but I think thats the cord insertion.

Looks a lot like dd's 12 week US. I voted girl.

Note to others - boy and girl genitals look exactly the same in profile at 12 weeks, except for the angle it points. Girls point down, boys point up.

To the OP - go to in-gender.com and post it in their US forum. They are experts there.

Okay, thanks. I'd love a boy baby as much as a girl baby, but I'm kinda hoping for a girl- I've always wanted a daughter, plus, if it's a girl, about 80% of what I need will be given to me. If it's a boy... nobody has anything to give me, I'll have to buy it all.

My vote is for girl.... although it is pointing upwards just slightly more than my DD's was it looks much, much more like my DD's u/s than my DS's. (My doctor was able to tell gender at 12 weeks for both kids at the NT screening.)

i voted other - unfortunately i don't believe the u/s angle was correct to get a view of the genitals.
