How far along am I?

So sunday I took a pregnancy test because I was getting very mild cramping throughout the day along with, sore nipples, and breaking out on my chin but it was negative. I assumed I might be getting my period. Well today still no period and right nipple is SO SORE left one barely sore so I took another test and it's positive so does this make me roughly 3 weeks?? I don't have normal cycles my last period was actually May 28th.

Unfortunately, the day on which you get a + HPT doesnt tell you much. I'd assume that you were AT LEAST 14 DPO (making you 4 weeks), to be safe, but it could be off in either direction.

I got a + at 9DPO the first time, and 10 DPO this time. Some ladies here have had a + at 6DPO, which is .5 weeks earlier. Alternatively, some women have not gotten a + until like 19 DPO, despite lots of testing!!

If you're not against it, I'd say wait 3 weeks, then get an ultrasound for dating purposes.

And..... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congratulations!

With long irregular cycles it's really hard to say without knowing exactly when you ovulated. However, from reading thousands of BFP posts over the years, I'd say that most women get their first positive between day 10 and 15 post ovulation depending on a dozen different factors. If you were negative on Sunday and positive now on Friday, I'd guess that you're between 12 and 17 days past ovulation. If the line is faint you could even be a bit earlier than that. If you had "regular" cycles and ovulated 14 days before that, you'd be considered between 3.5 and 4.5 weeks pregnant now...I think.

With irregular cycles and if you don't have a good idea of when you ovulated, your doctor or midwife will probably recommend a dating ultrasound for sometime in the next 2-3 weeks if you want to have one.

ETA: LZP and I just posted at the same time and she's so right - there is such a range in when women get their earliest BFPs and it depends on the test too...so this is all just guess work! But it doesn't change the fact that you're preggers and that's awesome!!!
