kefir oopsie, help?

I got some water kefir grains today and followed the instructions to rehydrate them in sugar water. Unfortunately a couple hours after I put it all together I read the other side of the page where it says not to use water with chlorine in it. I used plain tap water, is that ok or should I dump everything out, strain out the grains and start over?

Just strain out the grains and start over. Chlorine isn't good for them but it won't kill them outright so you should be fine.
