Sodium Ascorbate

Okay, I keep hearing about this and tried searching for more information within the forums but can't seem to find the info I am looking for. Can someone give me a sodium ascorbate 101 lesson? For example, what instances do you use it for, and how much would you use for a toddler. (i.e. dosage). Also, I give my 2-year-old a multivitamin daily and it has Vit C with bioflavonoids in it. Is this the same as SA? Where do you find SA and is it always in powder form? Does anyone have a reputable source explaining a lot about SA and when to use it and when not to? I'm just wondering if I should stock up on it in case I need it for future. (I like being prepared and being a first-time mom I tend to be overparanoid - LOL!)
TIA!

Whoa! How weird! I came on specifically to get some info about SA.

Basically, I am wondering if the powder is the best vehicle for absorption...or if I can just take the darn pills! I take it to combat adrenal fatigue in conjunction with a vitamin B complex and coQ10. It works really well! But taking the powder several times a day is kind of annoying. I guess I'll be subscribing here to see what you find out.
