Which on-line food/exercise log would you recommend and why?
Fit Day, Spark People or other?
Thanks so much!

I use myplate
I like that i can put in my recipes, and also make up meals that i eat regularly (for example my yogurt, granola and fruit is just one button) I love that the food database has everything.
I think most the tools are very similar in all three though.
I know a lot of people really like sparkpeople- I used it for quite a while too and it was nice. They have lots of other resources; recipes, forums, weight training videos, articles, etc.
Fitday was my least favorite. It was harder to navigate, and the database wasn't as extensive as the other two, i had a hard time finding lots of foods that i eat regularly.

I never thought I'd count calories and when I tried doing it at the computer, I just could not get the job done. Finding an iPhone app was key for me. I use LoseIt (free!!!!) and it works whenever, where ever! Even when there is no Internet. It's got a huge database of foods and I add in other stuff that I regularly eat. It's easy to adjust goals on the fly and it recalculates calories for that day. You can even add friends. I love it!!!

I use SparkPeople. It's the most user friendly for me so far....and it has an app for my phone so I can track on the go and not have to load meals in two places.
It has a place where you can load your own recipes, a nice database, a manual food loader, whole meal plans, tools, message boards, weight and fitness tracker.

It's been a pretty motivating place overall. I don't track the SparkPoints, but it seems to help others that are goal oriented.

I go to Livestrong.org [which i think just uses the same MyPlate that a prev poster mentioned]. its pretty extensive.
