Ring sling suggestions

Hi mamas! I'm in the market for a ring sling. Currently I'm using the Ktan and loving it. My husband uses the (manly!) Ergo with insert but I'm not interested in using that until she's much older. So I'd love suggestions for a ring sling. I had a Maya wrap sling with my first but didn't really use it until she was older and didn't really like it. I've started early with #2 and she LOVES the Ktan. I'd like to get the ring sling just to have a back up and some variety.

I've looked at the Zolowear and the Maya but I get overwhelmed after that. I'm a (shrinking) plus-size mama and would currently wear an XL Maya and a large on the Zolowear. I'd like a print bc the Ktan is solid, something that's super easy but safe and also could hold bigger kids/babies.

I would appreciate any suggestions you have. Thanks in advance mamas!

There are so many brands and styles that it kind of depends on the user. Did you like the shoulder design on the Maya? If you did, it's probably safest to go with another one since shoulders vary so much and what works well for one person may not work well for another. Sorry if that's not very helpful, but I don't want to list a bunch of brands because I don't think that is helpful either.

If you haven't checked out thebabywearer.com, I highly recommend heading there. All sorts of advice and suggestions on all sorts of baby wearing stuff. And plenty of WAHM vendors too. I make all my slings, but there are plenty of mammas on that site who make and sell their own. And you can check out Etsty and Ebay too.

I would check out sleeping baby productions. Jan is well-known in the baby wearing community and is very conscientious about the safety her slings. She's plus-sized herself so she can help you with sizing, etc. Finally, I think her prices are very reasonable for the high-quality product she provides. I know I sound like an ad, but I have two of her slings and I love them both.

Her shoulders are sewn a little differently than a Maya Wrap, but I think they are very comfortable.

Another Sleeping Baby fan here!! We love ours, the shoulder is very very comfy, and Jans service is amazing. I couldnt believe how fast we got our sling, and its really well made. We have a linen, and I'll be ordering a silk pretty soon from her.
