Getting kids to take ACV

How do you get young children to take raw ACV? I just dilute it in some water and chug it, but it's awful. Dd2 has a lot of intestinal issues and our chiro has suggested ACV before, but I've tried giving it to her diluted in water and she won't drink it. Any tips? Should I try using a medication dispenser and just shoot into her mouth? I know it would be unpleasant but I'm not sure how else to get it into her. (mixing it in warm water with raw honey occured to me, but she doesn't really like to drink warm drinks).

You could do the water with some maple syrup, that way it wouldn't need to be warm. I am working on the same issue with my DH, which you might think would be easier than a young child, but...

Maybe try adding a squeeze of lemon juice to the water/ACV mixture and a bit of honey or maple syrup..kinda like lemonade.

Good luck! Personally, I think it tastes like vomit.

Honestly, I think no matter what you do, it's going to taste pretty bad. I just chug it, and really until you cah teach a kid to just chug it, I'm not sure whatever other options there are. Honey makes it a bit sweeter, but it still isn't good, nor something my kids would voluntarily drink. Maybe a smoothie would disguise it, but I'm not really sure that it would.

Does she drink juice or smoothies? Mix it in. I usually mix mine with water and a little honey, but this weekend I was having some Morning Blend juice and mixed it in with that. It was a teeny bit tart, but good. And when I drank some of the juice later, it was SO sweet!!! The ACV actually made it taste better!

I think taking it straight is supposed to be bad for your teeth and throat. You'd probably do better to mix it with stuff.

Yeah, it just occured to me I could probably mix a tsp with some apple juice and then she might not notice!

I know! I dilute it in water and gag it down, ha. I know it's great for me, but why does it have to taste so awful?

it can be hidden in the most acidic drink the kid prefers. you can actually buffer that drink with a bit of baking soda and then add the acv.

In salad dressing.

I second the salad dressing. Call it dip and let her dip anything and everything into a puddle of it. My dd (3) will practically lick the plate with her "dip-dip" on it.

You can make a pretty tasty non-lemonade with ACV, honey, and water. DH and I really like it.

Forgot to mention before, but we like it in vegetable juice. It only makes the juice a little tangy, which really compliments the veggie juice anyway. I'm having a glass now, which is why I remembered
