p-partum mc

Can anyone help me with recommendations for how much mama cloth I might need for post partum? I didn't start using mc until ds was almost 2, so I've never done it for pp before. I have fairly heavy periods, but I honestly don't remember how much pp bleeding I usually have. I *think* it's always been pretty normal, whatever that is. LOL. I currently have 6 'regular' pads and 2 'overnight/large' pads, + several pantyliners. I wash them with diapers, so I'll be washing every day or every other day at most. I want to go ahead and start buying now so I don't have to get a huge stash at once.

Thanks!

If you're going to use them right from the get go you will need more - I know I was very clotty the first few days and everytime I passed a clot I had to change my pad...it could be once and hour. I tend to use the disposables myself for the first day or two, although cloth at night. I might try to get more regular sized and liners - I know for me I bled for weeks ugh and needed liners, for a while. I actually made a bunch - they didn't need to be PUL lined or anything, even just flannel worked (can you even make lay in ones pretty easy).

I used disposables while at the hospital and until I ran out of the ones they gave me. After that, i used tri-folded preemie prefolds. I had 24

i think 2 dozen preemie prefolds would be plenty, especially if you are washing with the diapers every other day or so.
