postpartum bleeding or period? weird

I'm not sure if this is where this question belongs ...

I had post-partum bleeding for about 6 weeks, but it was very light for the last two weeks of that. Then I had a week of nothing, and then today, red, period-like bleeding. I'm exclusively breastfeeding and got a Depo shot at my 6 week appointment (and when I was on it prior to the pregnancy, I didn't have any periods at all). I don't have any pain, and I'm probably going to call my doctor about this on Monday, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice? similar experiences? should I be concerned?

I had PP bleeding for about 1 week which was almost gone (as in just a big of yellowish mucus) then started up again just as bright and heavy as fresh period blood. It went another 2 weeks and I thought nothing of it as this was my first- but then I passed a huge clot (I thought it was placenta it was so solid and it might have been I think) bigger than a golf ball. Then my flow was practically gone the next day and tapered off for about a week much like when I first gave birth and now for the past week it's just been the mucusy yellow stuff again for a week which is almost gone. I think my flow would have just been gone all together in that first week if it hadn't been for that clot or whatever it was. Maybe something like that will happen with you?

I'd bet it's from the Depot shot. I got the shot a few years ago and it made me bleed for weeks. It started just like a period but never really went away. It also made me feel pregnant, complete with morning sickness, mood swings, and increased sensitivity to smell. I took a ton of pregnancy tests even though there was literally NO WAY I could have been pregnant. It was the most horrible month ever and I've vowed never ever to take that stupid shot again. I've heard it's quite common to bleed constantly with the shot, and even though that wasn't your experience before becoming pregnant it's totally possible now that your body has gone through so many changes.
