I tend to get a sort of "thrush" mouth when Im prego. Got it last time and now I have it again. I get whitish, puffy, peely skin on the inside of my lips and a little on my inner cheeks. I never get vaginal yeast infections (thank the heavens) but the thrush mouth is recurring. I don't have gestational diabetes, which can sometimes cause thrush in mamas. I take acidophilus and eat plain yogurt, which helps somewhat, but it never really goes away. It seems to lurk and come back full force every once in a while.
My main question is: what dosage of acidophilus is safe to take? I think I may not be taking enough. I'm dosing myself with 10 mg daily (1 capsule, the recommended dose) of Origin for Women Lactobacillus Acidophilus, which contains over 100 million active LA. Can I safely take more?
Any other inexpensive rememdies? Any exeriences I can learn from?
I mostly hear about vaginal yeast infections, and this is something my almost 2-yo dd has had a infections of, but I always get the oral candida. Any help is appreciated!
