For music videos on the computer, is the sound/music just as harmful as the video screen pictures for a baby? I have heard that the constant, all-day-long noise of the TV is not good. But what if it is just the music (i.e., no video screen) -- not everyday, but on the days that it is on, it can be for long stretches of a time. DS gets exposed to it when he wanders into the room which he does because he wants to enter and see daddy. Not always, but sometimes it can be rock music, - it is in a foreign language and I don't understand the lyrics, but DH already knows to make sure it is not bad language. (But to my ears, it is noise/yelling and I'd prefer not to have the music videos on.)
When I shut the computer lid closed, DH asked me, is it the screen image or the sound that is bad. Or both. I was tempted to say both just so he'd stop the music videos, but it is his way of relaxing, and I don't want to deprive DH of his stress reducing activity if unnecessary.
Thanks for any input!
