I am a single mama with a 3 1/2 yr. old and a 1 1/2 yr. old struggling to get them to bed. I am looking for advice. They rile eachother up and I feel like my threats (aimed at the 3+ yr. old) are creul, and she doesn't even really react. Once the youngster is sleepy enough he just nurses to bed, but I FEAR the experience once he doesn't nurse or isn't as interested happens. I wind up watching the Colbert Report with my toddler until she falls asleep out of boredom. I read to them, gearing her up for what will happen next, and lay there with her, but it becomes hours, excuses, irritations, etc. I need advice from other moms...I hate night time!!!
