major neediness

DD has been extremely needy the past few weeks and I'm not sure how to handle this without going insane!!!!!!!!
When I'm driving she's constantly wanting me to hold her hand or scratch her leg she really doesn't get mommy needs two hands to drive. We have a DVD player in the truck but don't want to go to that every time.

Our other issue is the night time. She has been waking about 2 times a night or just once but for a long period of time and wanting to snuggle or holds hands. Now I will gladly hold her hand but she gets really fidgety and is picking all over me if that makes sense so I can't so back to sleep. I'm so tired because she wants to do this all night. I'm all up for snuggling before bed but multiple times throughout the night I just can do I NEED sleep. Eventually I get upset with her and tell her she needs to go to sleep sometimes she will but mostly won't. I don't want to hurt her feelings but I jsut want to sleep! I'm also pregnant so I need to sleep. I'm starting to babble now

Is it normal for a toddler to me so needy? She's usually ok during the day besides wanting "up" more frequently.

How old is your DD? I've found DS is VERY needy too the last couple weeks, but he's getting his last two canines, so I'm pretty sure it's related to teething... I was thinking at first it was related to me cutting back on nursing a bit more, but going back to more nursing didn't really help much.

Anyway, it finally occurred to me yesterday that it was probably time to break out the Camilia drops again (mommy brain had forgotten about them completely ) and I think it helped somewhat last night.

It comes and goes. Sometimes I think about drugging myself into oblivion so that I can just ignore her at night and make my husband handle everything but that's kind of frowned on when you are pregnant.

FESTIVE! That's what toddlers are.

Hmmm she has been chewing on fingers more. She turned 2 last month. Haven't heard of camilia drops only teething tabs.

These are the Camilia drops we use. I find they work faster/better than the tablets we had (I think they were the Highlands ones?).

DS is a little slow to get his teeth, but there are the so-called two-year molars your DD could be working on as well...

Hoping for your sake it's something that will be over soon!

She could be reacting to the pregnancy. My 2 yr old became very needy early on in my pregnancy.
