No boob issues but still nursing now and then, my little one is starting to wean I think.

Sorry you are having m/s so bad and people are being rude.
Nausea/vomiting sucks. Why would people think you are, in a way, doing that to yourself?! Sad.

The boobs are for sure more full and I love it. My little sad dog ear pancakes have served the children well but are not exactly perky or full anymore. Such is life as a mama I suppose!

Three days until we get to go home! Being preggo and away can be hard and I want to find a midwife already. Wish I had someone to ask about a good one. We are fairly new to Utah.

Eleanor, go to the top of the forum list and find the tribe for your area,
http://www.mothering.com/discussions...splay.php?f=91
See if anyone has posted in your area or make a post for your city.
Here is another place you can start http://utahmidwives.net/
A few listed here

Not sure where you are in utah but I found a good bit in the state in general I am sure that on the tribe board they will have some help.

Thank you! I'll have to call around today for sure. I have also asked one friend who knows a lot of local people. She may have some leads too.

I have to share because I am still laughing.

Last night the husbandit and I were watching TV in our usual formation, he in his chair with our Yorkie in his lap, me in mine snuggling our terrier mutt. Husbandit is telling me about his day when mid sentence he says "she's peeing on me." then he jumps up with the dog in his outstretched arms and frantically looks around the room for a clear path to the back door. Unfortunately, he would have to circle the coffee table and risk getting pee on my chair and our hope chest in the process. Meanwhile the dog is nonchalantly hanging in the air, peeing buckets. I am thinking, should i get a bucket? but it seemed like surely there wouldn't be enough time, surely she would stop soon? This continued for about a minute as DH stood there holding a peeing dog over the floor with a confused/trapped look on his face and tinkle running down the side of his leg. I have to say I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.

Oddly enough we took a road trip once and our other dog fell asleep in his lap while he was driving and long story short she wet the "bed". I guess there is something about DH that makes animals very relaxed.

The dog has a vet appt today because this is totally unlike her and I suspect a bladder infection.
oh my goodness!!! that is HILARIOUS, but I am sorry about the bladder infection.

I am finally feeling sort of back to myself. I'm making some sprouted bread (I usually bake on Sundays but I was in bed all day). And take care of my much neglected house.

I just want to stay soooo busy these next several weeks. Is anyone else anxious to make it to week 12-13? I just feel like I'll be in the clear if I make it past week 11 for some reason.

I kind of feel in limbo until our first appointment (at 11 weeks). Once we have our first appointment and get to hear the hearbeat I think it will be more "real". Though the nausea and the fact that my clothes don't fit the same is certainly real....

Ditto!! I'm making small goals for myself - u/s on the 19th, prenatal on the 29th, (I'll be 11+1, hope to hear the heartbeat) and then only one week to the big 12 mark.

I feel like I'm more anxious...acutally, I know I am...than I was when I pregnant with my daughter, and I actually have her as a distraction this time and I'm still anxious and impatient.

I does help to know I'm not alone.

Anyone else really, really dizzy when they stand up or get up from lying down? I always have it a bit, but today it's been really, really bad. Does that indicate some kind of deficiency?

Oh, and the dog story? Hil-ar-ious. lol

WooWoo, congrats mama!

Echo, I cannot wait to get to week 14.

LSU - Congrats on the bean! Can't wait to go public and join FB group!

Molly - I'm dizzy too getting up or moving fast. I think it's more blood flowing? I like to think I'm swooning.

Nintendork - Our dog Olive used to pee in her sleep. Fullon, PEE everywhere. She is a lab. Is your dog spayed? Apparently spaying a dog messes up their hormones that control the unirary sphinxter...we did had her tested for UTI and she kept coming up positive, but we realized it was because she leaking a bit all the time and always licking herself and getting bacteria up there. We started her on PPA which is cheap. She was on estrogen for a while too when it was really bad. She hasn't peed again and it's been 5 or 6 years. Just a thought. Good luck. I don't like cleaning up dog urine (do enough with the kids, LOL)

I'm 10w1d today. I had my first prenatal and my MW couldn't hear the HB on doppler. This was after she asked me right off the bat, how are you feeling and I started crying. My last MC in feb was missed mc found at 12 weeks but the baby died between 10-11 per the US. So I'm kind of sad lately and worried.
I didn't realize it but she scheduled my first appt at the same day when the US tech is in her office so she got me right into the next room for a quick US and the baby was alive and kicking - totally moving around and freaking out. HB 162 and measuring 4 days ahead from my charting due date. It's weird, my MW used that wheel thing to find out my due date and she got 2/11. Based on FF chart and online calculators, I get 2/8 (LMP 5/4, O on 5/18). Anyways, the US gave me a EDD of 2/4 but I might switch to 2/11 for medical records so I'm not pushed into early interventions (not that my MW would but she agreed later is better).

Anyways, So I was pysched but then had to have a pap (which I was dreadfully overdue for and I have a history of abnormals). And of course, I'm cramping now.

Michelle that is great! Grow baby grow!

Sounds like dopplers can be stressful early on, yikes!

Took my dog in to the vet and now I am waiting to get the blood test and urinalysis results back (hopefully tomorrow). She has demodex mange (an autoimmune disorder and non contagious) which causes he to get frequent secondary skin infections and thus is frequently on antibiotics which ruled out a UTI or bladder infection. The possibilities right now look like Kidney disease, Cushings disease and myriad of other scary sounding disorders, blah. She is a rescue from a puppy mill so I have no idea how old she is or what her background is. Poor baby. We just had to put a dog down in December after a loooooong fight with congestive heart failure and I am not ready to lose another fur baby.

Are you plenty hydrated? I had a lot of lightheadedness the day that I was dehydrated. Just a thought.

Momma_molly- I get mine from Bravedo as well. They are expensive but totally worth it. The bras hold up really well (the ones I have are over a year old and still look brand new) and support well. I can't go without a bra since I have a terrible back (something about spending 4 years regularly lifting 1-2 times your body weight does a number on your back and body) so Ill splurge on good bras. I don't splurge on anything else so my hubby is totally ok with it and keeps trying to convince me to go order more since I only have two. Anyone interested here is their website http://www.bravadodesigns.com/home.asp?area=US This is the US version of it, they have several websites for different countries I just order mine off the US one. I have both the Exquiste and the Sublime bras and they are both super comfortable. I order my sports bras from JCPenny though but they aren't nursing convient. Very supportive though and cheaper (like 30 compared to 40/50) so I wear them for working out and switch out of them when Im done.

Ughs, one of my SILs(I have 3 SILs, the one getting married, this one and one I rarely talk to.. I also have a BIL whos deployed to Afganistan, he followed in his brother's footsteps and joined the Marines) found out shes pregnant and due around the same time I am. Which I don't mind, good for her, shes excited and all. But now shes keeps asking what Im doing wrong since she doesn't have morning sickness and I do. Obviously I have to be doing something wrong in her books. I rolled my eyes and ignored her but its annoying. This is my 5th pregnancy, if there was a way around morning sickness I would have found it. For me, there isn't. Yes my last pregnancy was very easy on the morning sickness but honestly that was a total blessing Im not expecting again. Oh she also asked me for a list of names we are considering so she can "preapprove" our name and we don't use one she might want to use. Umm, nope, sorry but not happening. It did give me something to laugh at though!
Ugh, OkiMom, I'm irritated for you! The "what are you doing wrong" comment is right up there with "mind over matter" IMO. And, the name thing...seriously???? Yeah, right. I'd keep that tightly under wraps if I were you. No need to promote name jealousy or stealing.

She want to preapprove YOUR names? :snort: That's hilarious. I was pregnant with two of DH's cousins last time and they both strongly hinted that we share our names so we could be sure we wouldn't duplicate. Uh, nope! People get WIERD about "stealing" names.

Hope everything works out ok for her!

That's fantastic!! Congrats - so exciting! 2/11 is my birthday - and it was my due date last time around too. February is a good month.

Yay!

I was home allll day today for the first time in weeks. SO nice. I got to read a book, take a nap, a bath (DD took a 3.5 hr nap!) and did about 10 minutes of housework. So I basically had an incredibly unproductive, wonderful day.

So.... I might be moving to Oregon. DH just applied for a supervisor position within his company and it looks kinda promising. Pray for us? We could use the raise with the new one on the way.

hello! it has been a while since i have been a regular poster on mdc, but i am pregnant with my third (due in the end of feb) and finding it hard to get excited like i was when pregnant with my two older daughters. i have been lurking here for the last few days and it is nice! really nice! to read about other women going through all of the same things. i think it is just the thing to get me "in the game" again.

my dh is german and we just moved to germany last spring- we were still not decided about having more kids and just trying to get into the swing of the new life we have and then..... here i am about 10 weeks along. i knew pretty early b/c i found myself talking about babies all of the time and then a few weeks ago- the sickness came. and i, as so many of you have also been, am sooo sick and tired and sooo tired of being sick and tired.
but, i found a dr. who i think is really nice- she works with two midwives who i have not met yet, but she seems so wonderful that i think i would feel comfortable with her too. my first dd was a cesarian, and my second a v-bac- which, in america can be pretty difficult to arrange, but it seems like it is not such a big deal here. indeed, it seems like most things birth related will be much easier.

i am shocked at the early negative pregnancy comments! "mind over matter" !? crazy talk, which really, when you are sick and hormonal can hurt even more than usual. and name stealing.......i started to post on the ddc with dd2, and i posted our name idea in a name thread and then another mother, read through the list and picked out what she liked and made from those her own list of possibilities! i couldn't believe it! i don't even want to know if she really used our name- i would be so upset.

i really miss the everyday contact with english speakers so, i hope you'll take me!
mcs of course we'll take you!

I'm feeling the less-than-excited too... and tired... but luckily not sick...

Names... We just can't think of any good ones. With DS I just Knew what I wanted and *fought* for it, but this time, there aren't any names that excite me... nothing really excites me i did buy a sleepy wrap euc online last night, I used a mei tai then ssc with ds (still do) but this babe I wanted to try a wrap and then my cousin has an ergo I can have when this babe gets a little bigger (and her ds is grown out of it).

I know there are things I'll need to get like some new diaper covers and nursing pads, but really not yet... I think I had EVERYTHING when I was about 20 wks with ds. Including the whole nursery set up. Now it feels like there isn't really anything to do to get ready except transition ds to the big boy bed when he gets a little older (around 2 yo bd I think).

Michelle - I'm so happy you were able to see the baby!
Also, I had a pap during pregnancy (about 9 weeks) last time and ended up with cramping and bleeding from it. I hope you're feeling better.

Not much going on here, I actually *gasp* feel okay today. Now of course I'm concerned about that... I'm trying to just enjoy the fact that I feel somewhat human. My t-shirts are starting to not fit as well, they're having problems meeting my skirts (my jeans don't fit comfortably anymore). I should be getting the family stash of maternity clothes from my s-i-l this weekend, she had a baby back in February.

My back is still sore but I can walk today without having to hunch over, I can definitely tell it's improving.
