Pants to fit over cloth diapers

Hi Mamas,

I am getting ready to have number 2, and I remember from #1 that I had a terrible time finding pants (esp. that weren't ridiculously expensive) to fit over cloth diapers. Especially as they get bigger, the pants just get skinnier and skinnier.

I thought there used to be a brand called "cut for cloth" but I can't find them.

Any brands you've found that work? Thoughts? What works for you?

I haven't run into problems yet. I tend to stick to knit pants or loosely cut pants with elastic waist. I don't really use any with zippers & snaps. I like Carters stuff a lot. The Children's Place makes pants & shorts for boys that are cargo style with elastic waist. My older DS wore them so I have them in every size (he was not CD'ed) and now I find that they work great on my CD'ed toddler. When DS was an infant I absolutely loved American Apparel karate pants. They run small, but they are great!

when i used bum genius pocket diapers, we were able to fit any store bough clothing over them with no issue (carters, for example). When we switched to fitted diapers, we also switched to knit, interlock, and fleece in order to accommodate the fluff. So, I guess it really depends what kind of cloth you are using. Maybe it would be worth it to get some AIO or OS diapers so that you can use store bought clothes?

We have TCP, Carters, Jumping Beans - all worked fine, we usually just had him a size up in clothing for pants and onesies.
