A few minutes ago, I suddenly realized I absolutely cannot go another minute without hot cocoa, so I made myself a cup. Did I mention it's 83 degrees out tonight?

With DD1 I craved orange-colored things...mind you NOT things like actual oranges, or orange juice or carrots. Things like Orange soda, Kraft Macaroni and cheese and Cheetos....something about yellow lake 5 I guess!

With this LO, I once ate a whole can of beets.

ACK, now I want hot chocolate .

I don't have weird cravings, normally. I have weird aversions, though. Last pregnancy, it was waffles; I couldn't even smell them without wanting to either vomit or slap someone. This pregnancy... stir-fried vegetables. Since I normally eat a LOT of stir-fry (it's my go-to meal, especially when DH is working evenings), it's kind of left me at a loss...

I'm more just really impressionable... Like the other day, I saw a jar of almond butter on the counter next to a jar of salsa, and I thought "YES!" I tried it and it wasn't as excellent as it was in my brain in that moment.

Right now, I just want spicy, spicy food. I'm literally eating hot salsa by the spoonful, right out of the jar.

I also want absolutely frigid ice-cold water.

Cheetos, potato chips. I never eat them normally. Oh also, watermelon in winter. In its absence, I settled for popsicles - at midnight.

Beer. I HATE beer. Always have, don't drink it, could never get close enough to it to even sip the stuff without wanting to gag. But all of a sudden, I've been wanting beer.

Strawberry pop-tarts. I was so stuck on them with DD that my co-workers gave me 6 boxes of them. And I ate every single one.

This time around...exact same thing. I can't figure out why, but they are SO good...

last pregnancy it was fabric. The texture, the smell, the colors, and ...the taste.

Chocolate pudding for both pregnancies. I never eat it any other time.
Also just in general craving fatty greasy foods.

Last time it was steak and potatoes. Or sausages and mashed potatoes. :

This time it's kettle chips so far, but I've been so sick that there isn't much I can eat.

mostly my daughter has made me crave meats (steaks, brats, hamburgers all on the grill... salmon, oysters, etc.)

however there was about a month there in the beginning (January to be exact) where all I wanted was popsicles.

Popsicles, in below 0 weather!

I find cough drops sooooooooo soothing for my nausea right now. DH had a sore throat so he brought home a couple of bags, now I am having more that he. Wait, it's OK to have cough drops when you're preg right?

With my first pregnancy, I craved turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We lived in a tourist town at the time and one night I just had to have turkey dinner. But, all the stores closed so early. So dh drove me about an hour away to the nearest grocery to buy the stuff for my dinner. But, it was so late by the time we were finished shopping, we ate McDonalds instead . Funny thing is after a few months of wanting nothing but turkey, stuffing and cranberries and mashed potatoes, by the time Christmas came around, I was really grossed out by the turkey lol.

My first pregnancy, I craved Mr and Mrs T spicey bloody mary mix served in a tall glass with ice, cracked pepper and celery stalks that had to be yellow not green.

I also craved the smell of pin sol and required on a daily basis Pepsi, fountain soda style not from a bottle, served in a styrofoam cup with ice and a straw.

I never really had cravings again after that pregnancy... LOL Thank goodness!

Nothing weird per se, but both pregnancies I have craved vanilla milkshakes. Last time it was the middle of winter and I was still drinking them.

YES - I want soda, from a fountain with lots of ice. I can't drink it at home, it's not the same.

and I forgot to mention - I want salads, with blue cheese dressing. Lots of it. In fact, I am tempted to go out and get one right now. But not places around here serve a good large salad.
