I have a 4 month old baby who has been exclusively breast fed on demand since birth, never had a bottle. We co-sleep and he still wakes up several times every night to nurse. He goes no longer then 3hours stretch without eating though usually nurses more often.
I developed mastitis when he was 2 weeks old. Went on antibiotics, symptoms cleared up within days though I finished the 10 day course of antibiotics of course. Then about a month later developed mastitis again, this time was prescribed the same antibiotic but was told to take for 14 days-which I did. Everything cleared up and I have been fine until now.
NOW, my breast is so sore again. I have a hard, extremely tender patch, its not red yet, nor do I have fever or body aches and pains. (which I had every time with mastitis before) My boob is just sore in that patch, could this just be clogged milk ducts? Any ideas why this would keep happening?
