Wow
i know!!!

so, we made playdough this week, and while ds pounded it and pressed his beads into it and made rocket ships and vacuums and boys on potties, i made myself a mini "gratitude plaque" and a yoni sculpture. i put the sculpture on my shelf with some shells and driftwood... with some special pics above. and a bees wax candle. lurve it.

love those quotes. esp the first. reminds me of this william morris one: “Simplicity of life, even the barest, is not a misery, but the very foundation of refinement; a sanded floor and whitewashed walls and the green trees, and flowery meads, and living waters outside.”

ever play the compliment game? we did it once in my group of gf many years ago, and it just stuck~ i'm always complimenting people when we're out. sometimes it really flusters them, you can tell they're not used to it... i love thinking they'll pass that glow on to the next person.....

thank YOU, ktg, for a wonderful week of camp! i am impressed (and grateful!) that you were able to focus on such an "up" topic, while having your own struggle with your TM. kudos for that, sweets!

Yeah, what she said!

I love the compliment game. I am all the time complimenting random people out in public. I never had a name for it, though
The way I figure it, people don't hear enough nice things. Like even if...one time someone nastily sneered at me "what are you staring at??" I hadn't realized I'd been staring. I'd been staring through them.
I just said something like "oh, sorry, your hair is so pretty, I didn't mean to stare".

Love to stop people's nasty attitudes like that

Thank you Ladies! I will be honest I almost typed out - aww it was nothing This has been a lot of fun to do and of course more fun with friends!

I love the idea of the compliment game, I've never heard of this before, but you can bet it will be incorporated into my life now

Aweyn - That is a beautiful quote! I was inspired to add quotes from some of the previous camps & mini camps I looked at to make sure I knew what I was doing

I love the gratitude space you created. Creation of "spaces or alters" are on my "to-do" list and I love the inspiration from everyone.

I can't wait now for Week 3! and to continue to tinker with my TM

After a trip to Boston Children's Hospital, I was humbled and filled with gratitude.

I (and I'm sure many others) often get caught up in the daily grind and fail to realize all the good that we do have.

I can't go into it more because I get all emotional.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. ~Melodie Beattie

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. ~Denis Waitley

I just KNEW I'd find what I needed in this thread ETA Did I remember to say "Thank you!"?

I am sorry I missed this thread while it was ongoing, but thanks so much. Off to share some quotes and meditate on gratitude.
