18 month old w. hypoplastic teeth

My DS's teeth are what his dentist calls hypolastic. His ped referred us to a pediatric dentist because his two top teeth were coming in with some enamel problems. His ped. dentist told me it was because of night nursing . I suspect the enamal problems and the hypoplasia is due to either the antibiotics he was on for an ear infection at 4 months (his first 4 teeth appeared at 5 months) or the antibiotics I was on when he was little for mastitis. Anyway, his teeth are already weak, and I am worried.

At almost 18 months I think he has all of his baby teeth, except maybe his 2 year molars. The top two teeth are touching in the middle, and I read that I should encourage flossing when the teeth are close enough to touch. Well...just brushing his teeth is a two adult job, as he kicks and flails and generally throws a fit. It requires me or DH holding him down while the other adult brushes his teeth.

What can I do for his teeth? We have well water so he doesn't get fluoride, but I am wondering if I should ask his ped or ped. dentist for fluoride drops? I have heard bad things about fluoride though, so I am not sure...

We eat pretty well, avoid sugar, he doesn't get juice, doesn't get sweets...other than like, raisins.

What can I do for his teeth? I am worried about decay, especially since his teeth are already weak and they are all in and some are touching. He still nurses at night occasionally, but I try to remember to give him a drink of water after he's done to rinse out his mouth.

Have you looked at the nutrition sticky above? Sometimes even when we eat well in the "modern" way, we aren't getting enough of the fat-soluble vites like K2 and A and D, all of which help lay down minerals on the bones and teeth.

My son has had some enamel damage from heavy-duty antibiotics and anti-seizure meds. In addition to the dietary stuff, we have added cell salts and green tea/xylitol rinses, some other occasional interventions like clay, and then we also increased his fat-soluble vites even further through some superfoods. We're hoping for the best, but have just started recently. I don't know if medication-induced damage can be reversed or not! I hope so.
