Great idea!

I feel like a good mommy when :

DS stops to give me a kiss then goes back to nursing with a big smile on his face.

I see him putting his toys away without being asked.

He always wants to help with everything. Sorting laundry, cooking, digging in the garden etc.

He holds on tight to me around strangers.

I see his many smiles

DS is 18 months.
I feel like a great mommy because...

We read 4 books already, within an hour or so of waking up for the day! And even just the sheer fact that ds LIKES books makes me feel like a good mom.

DS said thank you about 100 times while eating his meal. You're welcome, buddy.

He gives you a hug if you hurt yourself. And says thank you after doing that!

This is a great thread! I'm loving everyone's posts.

I feel like a good mama because:
My boy (18 months) is intact, healthy and strong.
He's into books, music, animals and outdoors, not TV or mass-marketed characters.
He pats me on the back when we hug.
I keep our house clean (mostly clean, anyway) without chemicals, the people fed with real, whole food, and I get to wake up to being kissed by my sweet baby every single day.
My son is secure enough to go to others for short periods, but always has me to touch base with.
I'm going to nurse my son until he's ready to stop, despite the "you're STILL nursing that kid?" commentary.
