Read them read them read them! I don't really like one better than the other but definitely there are things I like better in the books and better on the show and I LOVE making the snarky comments when comparing them!!
I only started the whole Sookie Stackhouse experience about a year ago. I plowed through the books and then got the dvd's of season 1 which I watched last Christmas. Then got season 2 when it came out in May and have been watching season 3. So I've had a fairly steady dose of them. Once the show is over in a few weeks, though, I'll be starving until...probably next May when I assume the next book will come out!
(However, I just finished book one of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and OMG - I have actually found another series I love just as much if not more!)
