Introducing Myself!

Hello!

My name is Teresa and I'm pregnant.

I live in the Pasco, WA area and am about 8 weeks along. I'm still waiting for my first OB appointment (this week) so everything is really new and a little confusing. Babysitting was much easier than growing a baby it seems. Every book I read somewhat contradicts another book so I'm really looking forward to getting in front of a Doctor and asking my questions.

At this point we're looking at me being a SAHM once the baby gets here, cloth diapering, breast feeding, and maybe trying for a natural birth. I'm open to any suggestions, tips, or advice that anyone has.

Thanks for letting me introduce myself!

I've had my baby, and I too had a milion and one questions. I found a few books that I loved. "The Mother Of All Pregnancy Books" was a fav of mine. Lots of fact, with a comical twist. I was exrta-careful and paid lots of attention to how I felt. I commented about odd pains to my doc. I was careful with my diet and everything, but I got gestational diabeates anyway. I was hospitalized for that and pre-eclamsia. But hey, I learned how to crochet, and cross-stitch, and my daughter and I were stable the whole time.

Now my prayers have been answered and I have a beautiful, healthy, and well behaved baby girl, who is now 5 months old. I think, as long as you take it easy and try not to worry too much with the 'what if's', you'll be fine. Any questions you forget to ask, ask here....I've read six books on pregnancy and birth, and also - I've lived it.-----stephanie----

oh, and I support you, on your eco-friendly ways...but make sure you have disposables on-hand. It's hard to find a place to rinse cloth diapers when you are on the road. BTW, breastfed baby waste doesn't stink. You can smell it, but it wont knock you over. It never even made my nursery smell until we introduced cereal. PS like pocket diapers and one sizes
