Signs of fertility while BF?

I've read the books and used fertility awareness between pregnancies for the last 10 years (4 babies, lots of BF) so I'm 7 mo pp and seeing no signs of AF returning. With my first we went 18mo. But with my 2 boys I only went 9 mo because when we introduced solids they got very distracted with the nursing and my right boob quit producing (it's always been the weak side) This time I'm taking supplements to keep the milk supply up (I did that with the first also) and so far milk supply and nursing is great on both sides and no signs of AF. But-- I really don't want to get pregnant. If I'm religiously checking for signs -- no signs of mucus of any sort -- uggh I just don't know. I hate the idea of using condoms possibly for months and months with no cycling. wwyd? Lately we've only been dtd every other day at most so I can check with some certainty that day for no CF. won't there be signs before fert returns. There were before. I always knew it was coming before. I was just never so freaked out about getting pregnant again before.

I had the "signs" fertile cm, o pains, etc before AF returned at 4 months PP (We EBF, but he is a good sleeper)

For me, until or unless you see signs of fertility, I'd think you're fine, but how you manage EOD DTD with 4 kiddos and 7 mos PP is beyond me! my LO is the same age as your youngest and we aren't anywhere near that frisky!

You should get signs with your cm. Another option is to use a fertility monitor like clearblue easy. With the Marquette method there is a breastfeeding protocol that can be used prior to ppaf. The info is on their website and is quite good.
