Terrible headaches

Hi everyone, I'm hoping you guys can help me figure this out. I've been having a terrible, non-stop headache since last Monday. I woke up that day with a really sore jaw from clenching my teeth overnight, and the jaw pain was causing a severe headache. Over the next few days the jaw pain gradually went away, the headache did not. I also had a cold at the same time, so thought it could be a sinus headache (which I've never had before). But my sinuses have pretty much cleared up. Then someone suggested low blood pressure, but I had my doctor's appointment on Friday and my BP looks great. So my last thought was that maybe I wasn't getting enough fluids, so I started drinking a lot more, and still nothing.

I don't usually get headaches. It's here from the minute I get out of bed in the morning, until I lay down at night. It's worse when I bend over. It's mainly in my forehead/temples. Please help

Sometimes massage helps me if I have a bad headache - especially if I'm holding a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders and upper back. Maybe your jaw and neck muscles are still tense from the other night. Facial massages are nice too. Can a partner or friend help you out?

How about Biofeedback therapy? I hear it's even covered by insurance these days. It's supposed to be great for migranes. It might help this type of headache too.

I had a terrible headache that lasted about a week and 1/2 (finally got better a few days ago). I couldn't quite pinpoint what was causing it - allergies? tension? hormones? hydration? I still am not sure, but it was no fun. Tylenol wasn't touching it. I did take advil twice, which helped a tiny bit. What probably helped the most was putting a cold compress at the base of my head/neck and wrapping my head with an ace bandage to help constrict the blood vessels.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks for the advice, ladies. It was a little bit better today, but got worse as the day progressed. I really could use a massage, that might help.

I remember with my first pregnancy, at the beginning of my second trimester, I had terrible headaches. I can't remember how long they lasted, but they eventually went away on their own. Maybe they're hormonal.

I've had terrible headaches since I got pregnant (I'm 14 weeks now). Tylenol occasionally helps. Acupuncture has been quite helpful as well if you're up for trying that.

I'm 14 weeks today and have been suffering horrible headaches every day, for the past week or so. I'm going to talk to my midwife about it tomorrow - I don't want to be popping Tylenol every single day. But I know how you feel.

I got bad headaches the first time. I think I have read chiro adjustments help. I haven't gotten nearly as many this time, and I have seen a chiro since I was like 9 weeks.

i started to get a headache today and started downing electrolite solutions. that seemed to help me. i have low blood pressure and i think i need way more salt than i am getting.

maybe you could try something like that to see if it helps? like someone said, tylenol did nothing for my headache.
