pink dye BUT plus sign tests?

So, I know blue dye tests are the devil, or at least that's the word on the street. But I am confused about the pink dye tests that give you a plus sign, like many blue dye tests, instead of a second parallel line. Is this type still "good"? Or prone to false positives? Does anyone know? The reason is I am thisclose to running out and buying one at my grocery store (generic store brand) for $4 in the self checkout line. I just can't stand the comments I get from cashiers when I buy them in person. And I don't want to shell out yet for a fancier test.

I've used the equate $4 plus sign test with no problems.

(get 2!) Good luck.

Yay, thanks! I almost got one tonight but managed to turn myself around before I made it down to my car. Perhaps tomorrow...(who am I kidding, of course I will tomorrow).

AFAIK they were no good 6 years ago when I got pregnant with DD but are just as good as any other pink ones now.
