I know that NYS often does "sincerity testing" with parents who file for religious exemptions. The interrogation session determines whether or not their exemption will be accepted. I had some questions about this.
Do any other states engage in this practice? Have any of you experienced it? I read a blog post (which I probably cannot link here) about somebody pushing for it to become a law in her state. Has there been any push for it in your states? And finally, NY had a bill last session to abolish the practice. Does anybody know what became of it? I'm just wondering if, given the immense backlash against parental autonomy on vaccine choices, this unfortunate practice may become more widespread. TIA.
