Good news to share!

My son is 14 months old and we have been healing a bad case of eczema. We have been trialing one food at a time based on the least reactive from multiple tests (RAST IGE, ELISA IGG, ELISA IGE, and ALCAT). We keep running into false negatives. The only serious one has been coconut (face swelling). Most others were just eczema flare-ups or break-outs. One (salmon) gave him contact hives, so we didn't allow him to eat it. Anyway, I decided to start trialing foods that would be most helpful, regardless of the tests, just not any of the highest results. One of our tests gave corn a low IGE score, and his doctor said we could trial it.

So we just finished a 4 day trial of corn, and he passed with flying colors! He actually looks the best he has since his eczema started, so I feel very confident. This afternoon, I went to Whole Foods and checked out all the corn products. It felt really good.

Just wanted to share!

It's so confusing isn't it? Sounds like you are on the right track.

It was .62. On my results, the levels are broken down like so:

IGE Class 0 = <0.35 Absent/Undetectable
IGE Class 1 = 0.35-0.70 Low Level
IGE Class 2 = 0.71-3.50 Moderate Level
IGE Class 3 = 3.51-17.5 High Level
IGE Class 4 = 17.6-50 Very High Level
IGE Class 5 = 51-100 Very High Level
IGE Class 6 = >100 Very High Level

We also had a lowish Wheat result (1.93), so I may ask to trial that one too. Our other positive results were in the 20's and 30's, so I will be strictly avoiding those.
