i dont know if its just cause im pregnant or what but im so angry and sad. Went out back to find our beds mowed. We had tomatoes, cucumbers growing, they left a few tomato plants that had bright red big tomatoes on them and luckily 1 cucumber.
Anyway we spent 100's on organic produce! I spoke with the gardners when we moved in and told them i have a young child and 2 small dogs and i expect pesticides to never ever be used anywhere around my home! We are renting so i dont have that much say, but as far as maintenance etc i should!
So dd and the dogs and i are in the backyard and i keep smelling a strange smell. im telling myself o its all the plants they cut down, its the lawn mower oil im smelling then it hits me! It smells like home depot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's pesticide or weed spray.
So dh is calling them to find out exactly what they used name brand and type so i can research what to do
But any suggestions? Obviously we now cant eat any of the apples, cherry, carrots (which have been mowed over but some are still alive under ground) lemons, etc etc etc
I mean all the older things like fruit trees have probably been sprayed for years anyway but the new stuff i planted and bought organic im just so sad about
What can i do now? I guess maybe build boxes from scratch above ground and fill them with organic soil? What can i grow now? What do i do about pesticides? How long should i not allow dd or dogs out there? DD walks around barefoot and sticks things she knows are edible right in her mouth!

Can you talk to your landlord about NOT having gardeners come? Tell him you'll take care of the yard? That's so crappy. I have no idea about how long to wait to go out there. Maybe after a good rain? Ugh. I would be so livid, I'm so sorry.
