My son is 13.5 months. He is my longest nurser. ( go me) I had planned to nurse him, until at least 2, and until he is ready to wean. I was pregnant, and while pregnant i night weaned him, and i also slowly cut our nursing sessions down. I was in a lot of pain, and i heard that he would likely start nursing more, once baby came. baby isnt coming. Soooo, is there any way i can get him to increase how often he nurses?
He is nursing twice in the morning, like at 530 and 730. then sometimes, that is it for the day. I offer it to him, when i think he should nap ( he doesnt nap) and i try to cuddle him skin to skin, whenever possible.
I am worried he will soon be weaned because i started to cut him off a little while i was pregnant. I know he is really busy ( he is my first boy, after 3 girls, and just WOW at how busy he is), and he does not like to stop and nurse.
He eats a ton of food. More than my 6 year old. We give him cows milk, every once in a while. It is raw milk. He gets maybe 3 cups a week.
Any ideas, or is this just how it is going to be?
