Hi everyone, been gone for a while so I haven't kept up on who had their babies, but congratulations to all who did. Tristan Alaister arrived March 22, though the birth did not go as planned. My UC was a disaster, Dh was a non-supportive jerk (actuallu yelling at me while I was in labor at one point), and the friend I asked to be with me freaked out and kept telling me horror stories about dead babies and begging me to go to the hospital. How lovely. I labored for 4 days, totally determined to have a peaceful birth but in the end my intuition told me things were not o.k., I could not stop pushing and I just knew it wasn't time yet. So I ended up at the hospital after all, another c-section which is still breaking my heart. Tristan is a beautiful, wonderful baby, nursing happily and cuddled close to me at all times. Big sister is awfully proud of her new brother and very protective of him. Thats all for now, my library internet time is almost up. Take care everyone.

Artemisa . Congratulations on the arrival of your little Tristan Alexander. 4 days is a long labor. You know you did what you could. I wish you many healthful and healing vibes.

Congrats Embalene and Artemesia

I was wondering about both of you.

Embalene, I love the name Declan. Dh wouldn't go for it.

Artemesia, so sorry things did not go the way you wanted. That situation sounds, well, less than ideal for sure. I know you had really been wishing that your dh would not be there at all. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself time to heal.

Y'all do come join us in the Life with a Babe forum.

Congratulations Artemesia! you might not have had the birth you wanted, but you did listen to your instincts which is more important. Isn't that what homebirthing is about...listening to your instincts. You did wonderful! Welcome Tristan!

Congratulations to Embalene and Artemesia and Racheepoo (at last) and welcome to Declan and Tristan and Darian

I am sorry that your birth was less than ideal Artemesia but you did the best for yourself and your baby. We all support you and wish we could have been there to help IRL.

The little Pink Sunfish family are doing well but I will try to post more about that on Life with a Babe.

I know it has been a while since I checked in (just now getting to a computer.) Nevertheless, our little baby was born at home on March 29! His name is Elie Ocean Shea, and he weighed 9 lbs. 9 oz. It was a beautiful birth, and I plan on getting around to writing the birth story sometime in the near future. Love to everyone.

SORRY everyone, I totally forgot to come back to this thread and check in...I thought we had all moved to LWAB by now.

So sorry. Darian is the love of my life. That soft downey skin. His eyes peering up at me while he nurses. His rosebud mouth. I could just eat him up. I'm so happy.

CONGRATS to all the newest babies, again sorry I haven't kept up here.

Rachel
