Takes diaper off at night

DD has been potty learned for a good year now during the day but still wakes up wet in the morning, no big deal. The problem is, she refuses to keep her diaper on at night so i am constantly washing her sheets. Its a fight to get her to put the diaper on in the first place. Apparently she wakes in the middle of the night and takes her diaper off, no idea when/what time she does this but its driving me mad!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, we use cloth diapers but i did give sposie pull ups a shot in hopes that she might like them for some reason and leave them but nope the cloth and the sposies come back off.

How old is she? Can she remove shorts/pants also? After one accident, A, 2 alwears wears pants to bed, since she can't remove those yet.

Is she too big to wear onsies? If you can find onsies that fit her, they are kinda hard to unsnap and might work.

OR - can you teach her how to get up and go potty when she wakes to take her dipe off? If she's waking up, she could just go potty maybe? (my son is not using the potty yet, so I have no idea if this is a practical solution)

This may be a dumb question, but have you talked to her about this? Does she know that you don't want her to take her diaper off at night?

ds wears pullups (7th generation, I can barely get them off and on him!) to bed, but my friend's kid sleeps naked with a potty right next to his bed so he can get up and pee in the middle of the night.

what about training pants? does she want *nothing* or no diaper? during the day we were putting a cloth menstral pad in ds's underwear to turn his underwear into training pants, it would hold enough pee that we didn't have a flood.

We used diaper pins to pin the zipper on our twins' pj's up. They were way too young to care about potty learing, they just liked to strip naked .

Two ideas.

When our daughter was younger, before she used the potty, we had to duct-tape her into her diaper for a while at night. I didn't catch your daughter's age, and that wouldn't seem appropriate to me to do to a kid past a certain age, so it may not be a good idea for you.

Our daughter has used the potty for at least 1-1/2 years but still needs a diaper when she's sleeping. She's always been in cloth, and will not leave wet diaper on, so she'll take it off if she wets it while she's in bed. What we do is put her on the potty every night before we go to bed, which is usually about 2-3 hours after she's fallen asleep. We don't wake her up to do it, just gently lift her up and spot her so she doesn't topple off the potty. She usually does pee. Often, when we go in, she's already wet her diaper and removed it, and she has ALWAYS removed her diaper in the morning when she comes out of her bedroom. But the two wet diapers and the potty pee in the middle gets her through without wet beds.

she's 3 1/2.

i'll def give the diaper pinning her jammie pants to her diaper, i think if i put two in the back she wont be able to try and get at it and poke herself.

when we tried sposies we did the huggies pull ups so if the pinning doesnt work then i'll give the 7th gen a try, maybe she won't be able to get them off.

thanks so much for all the suggestions
