my DD has just taken her SECOND 1 1/2 NAP TODAY! Holey moley!!!!!! She's 9 months today and has only ever taken naps of more than 40 minutes a handful of times. And now 2 in a single day! What power that be has granted me such a gift? How in the world did this happen?

I guess she's just growing into a more predictable, restful schedule. What next... a 5-hour stretch of sleep at night? Or is this a total fluke??? I'm almost giddy with happiness.

(Although I admit I kinda miss her right now... oh, the irony!)

I know what you mean by jinxing yourself.
Im afraid to say when mine naps more than 40 min. because sure enough the next day she's back to 20-40 minutes.

Awesome for you and her!

I know about the jinxing thing. One night, W, will sleep through the night, I'll wake up well rested, share with the good news with my mom or DH and sure enough, the next night, he wakes up twice.

Funny how this happens. I miss my DD when she's napping in the next room. I have plenty to do while she's out, but sometimes instead I just stop and stare at her or lay down next to her and cuddle.
I never knew it was possible to miss someone when their sleeping in the next room over!
