Going nuts when Dad gets home

Over the past couple weeks it has suddenly occured to me that DS becomes super obnoxious when DH gets home. For a while, I thought it was that he was getting tired, and while that may be part of it I am at a complete loss as to what to do.
Today DS was super awesome all day. We were out running errands and not one time did he cause any trouble. When we got home, we were painting and playing...everything was fine. I made dinner and he played alone,...fine.
The second...I mean the second DH walked in the door DS tossed all the miniscule beads we had been playing with all over the floor and ran around screaming that he hated us. Whu? What happened? When I asked him why he hated us, he said "I just hate Dad, not you".

I feel like maybe it has something to do with the fact that DH comes home and gets right on the computer or phone and ignores DS. Instead he yells at DS not to bother him. Maybe he just wants his attention? DH is getting grouchier and grouchier since every time he comes home DS is a mess. As a result DS is getting worse and worse every evening

I am starting to dread him coming home for fear my son will turn back into Mr Hyde. I am so tired by evening, I just want to sit down, and now DH has gone in the room and gone to sleep. DS is back to normal....the second DH went in the room.

Now as I was just typing this DS is trying to wake up DH and get him to play. Sighhh

my son went through a phase like that. he would start acting up when dh came home, often in an angry way. this despite that dh would play with him right when he got home. i think it had to do with ds being mad at dh for being gone all day at work. i remember reading someplace that this was typical ( he was 3 at the time)

i would definitely recommend that your dh have some face-time with your son before he goes off to the computer. it definitely seems like your ds is mad at him about something
