I'm not sure if I should post this here or under tribes... I saw this ad on the Waldorf Teachers site and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I tried emailing to find out more and never received a response.

Thanks.

I am central NC ( Raleigh ) and would love to be a part of a Waldorf school. I am going to keep my ears and eyes out for anymore information.

epdeans, Emerson Waldorf School is already here in Chapel Hill. It's been around since the mid 80s. Right now, that's where we're planning on sending our daughter for grades. There's also the Triangle Home Nursery Association for home-based Waldorf early childhood programs. I'm not sure if any are near you if your child(ren) are that age.

Oh... and I just heard from an Emerson Waldorf mom who's starting a play group in Raleigh soon. There aren't any details yet.

I know they are starting a school in Asheville. Not sure if this is what you were coming across. They plan on being a K-8, with the first kindy class this fall. http://azaleamountain.org/

The ad I linked to in the OP says Eastern NC. It also says Sanford and Fairmont, but unless there's more than one Fairmont in NC, it's not near Sanford!

sorry they never emailed you back. perhaps there just wasn't enough momentum for it to come to fruition right now?

I really like Raelee and the work she does, but I just don't want to spend the extra money on the workshops right now. I need to save it for tuition! I hope you enjoy the workshops and find them useful.

So if Robert makes me move to Asheville, will you come too, Stace? Asheville is my compromise (he wants to move out west). It would be awesome if there was a Waldorf school, though I think being a part of a newborn school has its issues.

i may need to host a "book group" or something so we can all still meet and talk about this book (and life, in general).

I've been terribly busy reading textbooks and other books for college, but I'd love to meet with you in person finally. DD started at Morning Song today, so I'm also hoping to get some conversations from her returning parents.

There are several Waldorf-inspired schools in Asheville. Besides Azalea Mountain, there's also the Little Round Schoolhouse, Dandelion Hill, and Grow With Me.
It's so cool that there is such a great community here!
