HAVE to quit my job... ramble... - Page 2

If you like behind the scenes scheduling and stuff, I am wondering why school admin is a no-go? Like at the district offices?

Here, library jobs are extremely hard to come by. Even shelving. If you can get that job, take it.

I do think you can make it work, but it will involve a lot of change. How much change are you willing to go for?

Ditto.

I completely understand your situation. I became a teacher quite a few years ago to "follow my bliss" and do something meaningful with my life, but also struggled because I am a complete introvert. I felt like I was acting all day (not being myself) and totally drained all the time. So I know where you are coming from.

I would suggest looking into tutoring. Even though you are still working with people, the one-on-one aspect is much easier for an introvert. It is also still rewarding and can be flexible/part-time. The downside is that the need for tutors is more during the summer and late afternoon - so it is really opposite from your own kids' schedules as a mom. But if you can work it out, it is a great alternative.

Yes, she would be able to teach online classes at my community college with her education.
