Need Prevnar Clarification

I am doing a delayed/selective schedule with my 6month son d/t my priorvaccine reactions and autoimmune disorder. Anyway, for my son, we refused HepB and Rotavirus. I have told them I would not get Polio until after 2yoa as it still contains thimerisol. We did one vax/month starting at 4months (he has had 2 DtaP and 1 hib). Next month, they suggested Prevnar. I have looked at the vax pamphlet, and it seems to be fairly consistent with many of the others.

I would like imput from both "sides" as to reasons for choosing to get Prevnar and reasons for denying it.

THanks for any help you can provide!

The IPV vaccine for polio in the US doesn't contain thimerosal.

But you might like some of the Prevnar threads in the archives & a couple of others:

Thanks

THanks for the info on IPV. It was actually our nurse practitioner who told me that it contained thimerosal. DId I maybe get it mixed up with a different one?

Not sure. Here's the table:

Maybe she just assumed it did since it comes in a multi-dose vial.
