without the rubella vaccination. is this true? If not, do you have a link to the information so I can pass it on to him? He is really good about learning new things, when it's brought to his attention.

This is correct. I Think it was near the end of 2008 (someone correct me if I'm wrong) they stopped offering separate vaccines for M,M and R. Now if you want any of those you have to use MMR. No other options. Pitiful isn't it.

Nope.....thanks to the ACIP. Merck no longer makes monovalent vaccines for measles or mumps.

Very sad but true. They have them still in Europe though. I doubt the fda will allow importation. I know parents are trying to get the Japanese rubella vaccine since it is made without human diploid cells, no luck in years.
