I'm looking for some recommendations on a good Christian science curriculum! I had bought Apologia Botany, but I think this is way too advanced.thanks!

We are not Christian, but we utilize www.sonlight.com. We just take out all the Christian stuff, though you probably wouldn't. There's some great stuff there.

Answers in Genesis has some great stuff that we plan on using when DS is old enough: http://www.answersingenesis.org/Publ...,4430,279.aspx

my favorite are the christian liberty press nature readers:

i also love christian liberty press science series:

we use these with the "let's read and find out about" science series.

hope this helps.

ETA - apologia astronomy is supposed to be the easiest, so you may want to purchase that before the botany one. i've read a good age to start with apologia is grade 2. i plan to use apologia when my youngest in in second. hth.

I am a very conservative, fundamental Christian and we are currently using Sonlight Science K. I really enjoy it even though the books used are secular. The Christian references are in the Instructor's Guide. I plan on using Sonlight Science 1 then move to the "God's Design" series sold by Answers In Genesis.

But for the record, we don't use the Sonlight curriculum itself just the science.

I've heard GREAT things about Answers in Genesis and hope to get it as well, but it wasn't available at the last hs convention I was at.

We are currently using Eagles Wings- "Considering God's Creation" by Mortimer and Smith and though we've only dipped our feet in so far, I like it. It also comes with a bonus CD of songs, but the singing is horrid! The kids like the crafty nature of this program. http://www.eagleswingsed.com/products/cgc.html

If you get their order booklet (just subscribe to get stuff in the mail) it offers the curriculum at discount.

We really enjoy Sonlight's Science (and Core, and Bible and readers ... )

We love "God's Design for Science" through Answers in Genesis. It competes only with Story of the World for my kids fave subject/curriculum.
