I hate my BBT!

I had a thermometer from Walgreens that I loved. It was white with pink on the end, and it kept the last 5 temps in memory. Then the dog got ahold of it

When I went back to Walgreens to replace it, they no longer carried that model, so I got the new WG brand one, which was all pink. It was a dud! It beeped after less than 5 seconds and the temps were all over the place. I should have returned it but I didn't got around to it in time.

Last cycle I went to rite aid and got one that's purple. It doesn't recall the temp!! So I'd have to write it down when I take it, and since I set an alarm and take my temp in the middle of the night, I don't think that would go over well with everyone else in the bed

SO...I went to Target and got THEIR BBT for this cycle. It does recall one temp, but it flashes for less than a second, and if I miss it, it won't recall it again (it then recalls the "new" most recent temp).

HEEEELLLLLPPPPPP! Tell me where to get a thermometer! It needs to recall the temp (for more that 1 second!), and I would love it if it recalled the several most recent temps. Why is this so hard?

First, I'm so sorry about your loss.

Second, I could have written your BBT saga. I started w/ the crappy pink Walgreens. So. Bad. Moved to purple rite aid. For one day. That thing was the worst PO junk I've ever bought. Then, onto the Target brand.

I had intended to use the Target one for one cycle and then order the BD one, but, once I got used to the fact that it is itty bitty, doesn't light, and I can't recall the temp unless I'm paying super attention, I actually have found it to be just fine.

I've heard good things about the BD one. They don't sell it locally for me, but its on amazon for not too much.

I HATE THE PINK WALGREENS! I have soldiered on with it for several months and even when I started leaving it in well after the insanely fast beep, I don't trust the temps--it just reverts to the same default temps over and over with nothing in between, giving me a rather fascist looking chart.

If I'm not pregnant this cycle I intend to order the BD one. Plus the initials make me laugh.

I have the bd. But I always have to run it twice to get a stable temp. It's alright.

I have the white one with the pink tip from Walmart It does not have a backlight, but it does store one temperature until you stick it under your tongue again. So if you miss it when you turn it on to record your temperature during daylight hours, you can turn it off and turn it back on again to get the temp.

I have the walmart one as well. And it seems to be ok. Like the PP'er said you can turn it off and back on a million times as long as you don't stick it under your tongue again. I sometimes think it may be off though, but who knows maybe not. I want a different but this one works for now if no one gives us some good ideas.

If you have the same purple Rite Aid one I have then it does record it. At first I was "WTH...I have to write it down right away?!!", but I went back to the directions and if you hold the button down slightly, it will recall the last temp (rather than revert to the default 97.70 or whatever it is). I hear you on the old Walgreens BBT that stored 5....awesome (and the new one SUCKS)!

I have one from Walmart. It was something like $9. The temp flashes fast on the screen, but you can shut it off and turn back on and it still saves it. I've tested it to be sure the same temp comes up the second time reading it, and it does.

It seems okay for being kinda cheap.

Omg I really thought I was just not in the know, but all your stories are making me think I could make enough to finance an ivf if I just put out a good bbt! I'll look at the bd one and I'll revisit the purple one too, thanks for the tip.

Seriously, I'm making a bbt with a backlight, that will store the most recent 5 temps, have an adjustable "I'm done" noise and, um, will make the bed. Let me know if you want to order one!

I have the BD one. I had to order it but I like it a lot. What I like about it is that I will beep every couple of seconds so that I know it is working. I had one before and I would sit there in the dark for a while just to realize that I hadn't hit the button hard enough to start it. I like the BD one so much that I even replaced the battery on it when it died
