UTI still a concern if symptoms subside?

I had strong symptoms of what i think is a UTI yesterday ( needing to pee so super bad when I only had 6 drops come out, uncomfortable to pee each time I did, though personally I would not think to describe it as burning, it's certainly not normal though, at all)
I have had these before , maybe about once a year and have never gone to the doc or been dx'ed OT treated. The always seem to go away before I would bother going to see someone.

So yesterday I have all this while spending the day driving 5 hours, yeah that was fun and with being preggo i figured I should go in. Well I feel tons better today.

So the questions is, should I still a dress this since it can be such a hassle in pregnancy? Or do i count myself as a lucky one that seems to self heal?

Just as a side note I just spent 10days camping (with good showers) and a lot of romping with my DH so I'm not shocked this happened, camping has been a trigger for me in years past.

its worth a double check, since many of us (especially while pregnant) can have a UTI with no symptoms at all.

Wow the symptoms when I do have them are soooo bad I had no idea folks could have the info tion and no symptoms. I go in for my NT screen on Friday and will go to the OB walk in clinic while I'm there I guess.

Wonder if they will bother to test or will they expo t me to go on ABX " just in case" I'm not one to take abx unless really needed, so I really need then to actually test

Ive had so many without symptoms this pregnancy my doctor and midwife just have me taking cranberry tablets every day... maybe look into doing that?

plus AZO has home UTI strips you can test yourself to know if its worth going in for.

I had a UTI with no symptoms, well, I had some weird pain in the middle of my belly, but I thought it was the baby. Last time I had a UTI I knew it, but when I was pregnant I had no clue. I was really leary about taking the antibiotics too. I found it during a test, so I guess really push the testing part because I also have bad side effect with abx and don't like to take them.

Get the test, but do try to clear it up on your own. I've had UTIs with no symptoms during pregnancy...it's really weird. Now I take a daily cranberry extract tablet, try to keep my sugar intake low/reasonable, and make sure to flood my system with water any time I'm feeling the least bit UTIish. So far it's worked...no UTIs in the last two pregnancies.

Yeah I'm a waterholic so that is good, I am going to go grab some cranberry tablets today. I have a appointment tomorrow for something else so will take advantage of e walk in hours and get the test. I'm doing ok right now but can kind of feel it gurgling back up.
Thanks ladies

I started to get the symptoms - burning, peeing 5 drops every 5 minutes, uncomfortable feeling. I did stop in for a test at the doc and of course it was positive. I refused the antibiotics and took D-Mannose every day for about 4 days. The symptoms went away within one day. It has been about 2 weeks since and I've been feeling fine. Because I refused the antibiotics, the midwife wanted me to go back in to retest so I did. I'm waiting for a call to see if the D-Mannose cleared it up.

Just to echo everyone - yeah get it checked anyway. I had symptoms of a UTI and then I thought it went away. Yeah, it went to my kidneys actually. And that required a hospital stay and tons of antibiotics. Boo!

Just got a call from my midwife and my UTI is gone! I really recommend the D-Mannose. I was definitely positive for a UTI before taking it. It cost about $26 at the health food store. I just got the plain NOW brand. It is cheaper online. It is supposedly also good for preventing UTIs. To clear mine up I took a teaspoon mixed into a drink or water every three hours for 4 days and then just took the dose recommended on the bottle. All the midwives are now eager to learn more about it.

Of course, it could be a coincidence, but I sure didn't drink enough water to flush it out because I had a hard time keeping it down. I didn't take any cranberry either.
