Things only a mother could love...

The song DS made up that had me cracking up:

"I need a wipe, I need a wipe, I need a mama-llama to wipe my BUTT!"

Ha! My oldest son quite literally only ever sings on the toilet, and the only songs I can remember him creating himself all have to do with needing his butt wiped. I love the mama llama tie in your little one worked in, though!

There is a family story about an aunt and her made up potty songs. The one that seems to get re-sung a lot is "If I only had a dollar, I could buy anything I want. If I only had a dollar, I could buy anythign I want."

That was the whole song.

DS now, during or just after pooping, likes to locate brown items and say, "The rug is brown... LIKE MY POOPIE!"

DD was sweetly singing "Poopy and the Beast" the other day, in all innocence.

I'm in love with my child's little feet and it really doesn't matter how dirty they are.

I think it would be quite nice if DS1 sung a song about me wiping his bum. All I get is "MAMAAAAAAA! WIPE MY BUM!!!" yelled through the house.

Things only a mother could love: I love it when my 2 y.o. innocently fusses with her nose and then walks over and hands me a booger. At least she didn't wipe it on the furniture.

The other thing is that the two girls always make a big show of climbing into the tub at the beginning of their bath and peeing standing up. They laugh their little tushies off, and while it's gross, it's also completely hilarious that they think it's so funny.

does she hand it to you like it's some sort of precious gift? DS acts completely befuddled if I'm not overjoyed to accept his nose treasure.

Yep, mine too. He usually announces "Mom, I got a booger! It's a BIIIIIIIIIIIG one!" like he just caught a 4ft fish or something.

DS is always saying his poops look like something. Yesterday, he made a flamingo poop. The day before, a family of bears (Mommy, Daddy, and Baby bear).

Yep, mine likes to assess and name his poop. He's come out with gems like, "I made a poopsnake!" and "That one is a poop balloon." As far as I am concerned, you can make the Loch Ness Monster, sweetie, as long as that bad boy gets deposited in the toilet!

This thread reminds me of a song my sister made up as a small child and sang in a low, growly voice. It went like this: "Poopy Darling said one day, my name is Poopy Darling." I can still hear it in my head now, 30 years later...

So I have a funny one from today:

We went to a make up for our music class at a different location than normal. DS asked to go potty when we got there and discovered that they had a potty seat in their restroom. So DS announces that he needs to poop. He did his business, got cleaned up and we went into class.

DS walks into the room and announces to everyone in class "I pooped! I pooped! It was a little tiny one. I flushed it!"

I was so embarrassed, but whatcha gonna do? The teacher was great and congratulated him.

My dd announces how far along she is in the pooping cycle and how many poops she thinks are still coming out when we are in the public restroom. It is so darn cute!!

Although it is somewhat embarrassing if there is someone else in there with us, DD announces when someone leaves a public restroom without washing their hands.

I'm proud she notices!

I just can't get over how cute my dd is when she is pooping. She is only 13mos and the faces she makes makes my heart melt. Only a mama's love!!

Oh gosh, I feel so weird admitting that I love the poop face. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Yeah, she would make a kind of doe-eyed innocent face.
