When DD was 4 days old she had her first explosive poo. It exploded all over me, so I handed her to DH and got in the shower. I had him hand DD to me so I could wash both of us off. The water was at the temperature that I normally shower, pretty hot. As he was handing her to me, I began to protest, telling him that the water was too hot for a baby. Some of the water had already gotten on her and she didnt seem to care at all, so I went ahead and brought her into the shower with me. She LOVED it, which is good because we dont have a bathtub.
Now, shes almost 4 months old and I have tried several times to give her a bath in her own personal tabletop bathtub. She hates it. She cries and doesnt play in the water and is pretty miserable the whole time. She loves getting in the swimming pool, so its not an issue of having her whole body in the water. Ive tried several different temperatures in her bath, but I get the same reaction every time. Its not an issue of wanting to be held in the water, because I dont hold her in the shower while I am bathing myself (she has a little mesh recliner chair that she sits in and kicks and coos and plays while I shower).
When I tell people that she likes to take showers, they always say, "Weird, Ive never heard if anyone doing that".
Is it really that uncommon?
Im interested to find out about other's bathtime habits.

This is what we have. I actually think the solarveil company quit making them, but I've seen them online randomly. It's very fine mesh-like material but to me it looks like linen. It's great for the shower, pool, or even just walking around. I've seen other mesh types other than solarveil, but I think they have to be wet to use to catch in the rings.
