Same ol' boobs - anyone else have breasts that haven't changed?

I'm 30 weeks. Was a 34B before pregnancy, and still am. My breasts have grown just a tiny bit...bras are a little tight (but not quite enough to need a bigger size).

Will they ever grow? I'm guessing they will when its towards the end of pregnancy & I'm getting ready to breastfeed. Just seems strange. I mean I've always wanted a C and thought this was my chance

At least they aren't in the way.

My pregnancy days are long over, but I never got busty. I was an A cup, pre-pregnancy, barely a B while pregnant and nursing, and back down to an A.

The hard part is that you practically have to plaster the baby against your body to nurse when your breasts don't dangle. The bright side is that I'm almost 40 and my gals are still perky.

I have large boobs, but they never ever change. They never get sore or swollen in pregnancy, they never change when I BF, its like they are carrying on blissfully unaware that they are meant to be undergoing huge changes. Boring!

I'm a big B, small C, and that doesn't change during pregnancy OR nursing for me. My same old bras fit me right after my milk came in last time, and nothing is any different this pregnancy. The only way I'm going to see any changes in my boobs is to pay a plastic surgeon three grand. But hey - we save money on bras!

With my first pregnancy, my boobs barely changed at all until suddenly when my milk really came in about 3-4 days after DS was born. I went from a very small A to a large B, almost a C. This to me was HUGE and way more than I'd been hoping for! It lasted about two months then I gradually went down to a big A, small B. DS was still nursing but I think as my milk supply regulated I was less engorged.

This time around, I've puffed up a bit more during pregnancy.

Contrary to what 2xy said, every lactation consultant I've spoken to has said that women with smaller breasts generally have a much easier time nursing because getting in position for a good latch is easier and more comfortable.

Mine didn't change at all with my first pregnancy, even though I leaked colostrum like crazy the last few weeks and had tons and tons of milk. This time they've gotten a bit bigger, but not much at all. I guess we don't all get big boobs in pregnancy. Now, when the milk comes in , watch out! Even then, though, I was back to my normal size before long.

Hmmm. Well, I've never spoken to a lactaction consultant, and really have only my own experiences to draw on. I just know that I needed a lot of pillows to help prop baby up and it would tire my neck and shoulders holding my newborn up so high sometimes. I watch my friends with large breasts nurse their babies, and they kind of just flop their boob out on the boppy and the kid goes at it.

I didn't figure out how to nurse lying down until baby #2.

Cloudgazer, mine didn't change much until my milk came in (small A to large B or even C), so maybe the boob fairy will bring your bigger boobs then! I did find after I weaned my daughter, they got smaller, so that was very sad since I started with so little to begin with!

My breasts did not change at all during first pregnancy not even after DD was born. My milk never "Came In" and I had to use an SNS and supplement for the first 6 months and after that took Domperidone which allowed me to breastfeed without supplementation.

8 months pp with dd, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis, and thought BINGO, I understand now (although too late) why my milk didn't come in.

This pregnancy with my thyroid medicated, I have noticed a change in my breasts. I have no idea what will happen when I give birth, but I'm praying for the perfect amount of milk.

Not to say that no change in breasts means something. What I wish is that someone would have noted that no change to me, or someone would have tested my thyroid.

Just thought I would share my breast story as if I would of know, would things have been different.

We will see come December!

The boob fairy never visits me during pregnancy (though apparently the butt fairy visits multiple times ). I was a C before I had kids and stayed a C throughout 4 pregnancies and nursing since September 2004.

I'm just 13 weeks tomorrow, so still early on...

...but my last pregnancy, my breasts were really sore right away. In the first trimester, I went up a cup size, and then another cup size sometime in the second trimester.

This time, my nipples got sore around 6 weeks, but my breasts were not sore at all, and the size didn't change at all. And then a week and a half ago, they got sore, and have gone up a cup size in that short amount of time.

Who knows right?

I'm on baby #4 and never had any growth until my milk came in. Even then it was temporary and lasted just a couple of months. Oh well, milk was aplenty so that's what counts right?

Mine have changed in prior pregnancies (at least somewhat), but not this time - at all, AFAICT. I'm also just a B cup these days, fwiw. I do have a big shift when my milk comes in. Last time I remember it being uneven and IMMENSE on one side. Ouch. But it settles down to "normal" after a while.

Lucky!!! I am jealous. My boobs go from an A to a D during pregnancy/nursing, and I do not appreciate it. I grow out of all my tops before my belly gets in the way. It just doesn't feel like me at all. I don't look huge, but just like now I have boobs and normally I guess I am practically flat chested.

2xy - I also felt like I had to plaster my babe to my chest while nursing, and the boppy pillow was much too low for me. But I attributed it more to my longer torso than my boob size. I think for this baby I'm going to get the "my breast friend" pillow recommended by the lactation consultants. Last time I got tendonitis in my wrist from holding the baby up in an awkward way to nurse.
