As a single mom I do not mind at all giving her the added security of sleeping in bed with me but I worry about her having continued problems with being alone. She was an independent toddler up till her dad and I split and she started wanting to be in the room with me always. But I was able to get her sleeping alone. Lately though she has been in my bed and I'm wondering why I spent $200 on a twin for her.

Like I said I don't mind I know this stage will pass and a day will come she won't want much to do with me. But do you think allowing this may be causing the increased fear she has of being in rooms alone. It doesn't seem to matter if its daytime or night time, dark or light in the room she doesn't want to be in rooms alone. Is this normal? I hope it passes. I want her to learn to be confident child/teenager.
