S/O: Chicken pox vaccine commercial

On the radio several day ago I heard a similar advertisement to the pertussis ad but for adults to get the chicken pox vaccine. Since the chicken pox vaccine was not available when I was a child, most people my age and older had natural chicken pox. so...

Would someone who had natural chicken pox likely not be immune 15-20 years later?(I thought it was a lifelong immunity)

And, has anyone else seen/heard this one?

I am starting to suspect that we are going to be seeing more ads for adults to get vaccines again. I can't help but think this is for profit and not well being.

Haven't seen it, but it doesn't shock me in the least. Commercials like this will always be around. It's just marketing.

Thanks to the CP vaccine, immunity from a natural infection may very well wane. It's supposed to be lifetime immunity because when someone who has had a wild infection is subsequently exposed to the wild strain, then they get a natural "booster". Since it is not circulating like it used to, people are less likely to get those natural boosters, resulting in a possible waning of their immunity. I had CP when I was 19....I'm not worried about getting it again, waning immunity or not.

Yep, so we'll now need chicken pox, chicken pox boosters, shingles vax, and shingles boosters.
