good Montessori in the Pittsburgh area?

Is there anyone in the Pittsburgh area? We'll be moving there next summer, and our DD will be starting 1st grade. She'll be going to Montessori kindergarten this year here in NY, and we'd like to continue to send her to Montessori through 2nd grade.

Any recommendations on a school? Google shows quite a few Montessori schools, though I know from our experience here - not all are created equal...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

You may want to cross post in the Finding Your Tribe area on the boards, where you might access mamas that live in the Pittsburgh area to get more info.

I used to live in Pittsburgh but it was before children so I didn't pay close attention!

Good luck on your move. It is a fabulous city!!!

Perhaps this will help? The Greater Pittsburgh Montessori Society:

If you tell me what part of the city you are moving to I might be able to tell you which schools are nearby....

Thank you for the link and for your reply - we just found out that we're moving, so no idea to what part of the city yet! I do know my DH will be working in the northwestern area, though.

Thanks!
