$15-20/hr

It runs $13/$15 here for two kids. So, with 3-4 and the person has applicable advanced education and certifications . . . at least $20/hr. For extended care, I'd probably have to negotiate a flat rate/salary, though.

$20-25/hour, but like a PP I would totally offer a flat weekly or monthly salary.

I pay $120 per 9 hour day for someone with similar experience for my 3yo and twin 1.5 yo. My 12 yo is there too, but mostly self-sufficient.

10-13.

$20 an hour here. The more professional sitters/nannies make that like the one you are describing. I pay between $10-15 an hour for younger college students based on their experience, if they drive to my house, if it is all my kids or just 1-2.

4 KIDS FOR 'PARENTS NIGHT OUT' DAYCARE TYPE OF THING runs about 20/per kid.... sometimes you can get a sibling discount.

completely depends. I know of people who pay $10+/hour for part time babysitting. I know of people who pay $400/week for a FT nanny. But at the same time, most lower working class families like my own are paying $60/week for full time daycare - when you make minimum wage, you can't pay more.

I pay my sitter $20/8-hour day to watch my 2 kids, and I usually use her 2 days per week. She is THRILLED to get paid that much, she usually gets much less.

around $20. I pay my part-time babysitter $10 to watch one 3 year old. I think it is a great deal.

She is only a few years younger than me, college graduate, working at a center for pregnant women and their babies and CPR/First Aid certified. She is also very calm and interacts with my son the whole time she is here.

$10/hr to the sitter and $2/hr to the agency I got the sitter through.

In our area it's at least 15-20 dollars an hour. I pay 18/hour for my very experienced fun energetic sitter (with preschool teaching and mommy experience). She originally asked for 20, but that was more than I could afford. She watches my 3.5 yo and my baby (now almost a year, but started around 5 mo). For four kids though I can see charging up to 25/hr.

If we're talking casual babysitting, and not an employment situation, for a 9, 6, 3 and sometimes an infant... I'd say that $50 for that three hour period sounds right on track, if not even a little high. Private nannies in my city are around $12 an hour, usually thats around 2 children. I'm providing part time child care right now for a wonderful family who have impeccibly behaved kids, and I'm getting $9 an hour, but because they've been so loving, and the kids are so good, I'm completely fine with that. I would say definately factor in the attitudes/needs of the children. If both kids were brats, I'd be looking for closer to $15 an hour for the two.

In my area you would be lucky to get 10.00/hr. That is GOOD. My friend pays 600/month for ft daycare for TWO kids...to a licensed provider.

Full time daycare rates and pay by the hour sitters are vastly different in our area.

FT daycare is around $45 per day and sitting rates are $10-$20/hour on average...crazy!
